Samantha Kirby

B. Design in Architecture USYD
M. Architecture USYD

Samantha graduated from the University of Sydney with a Master of Architecture in 2018. Throughout her studies, she took every possible opportunity to travel and study abroad, completing an exchange program in Germany and assisting in the construction of a girl’s dormitory in Uganda.

These overseas experiences have had a strong influence on Samantha’s perception of architecture, particularly with regard to the way small interventions can have a profound impact on the urban realm. Her work is shaped by a deep understanding of an architect’s civic responsibility to consider and respond to the macro and micro effects of their projects. She has a particular interest in how these projects can give back to the community in which they are built.

Prior to her time at Carter Williamson, Samantha spent several years at Eeles Trelease Architects, working through all stages of the design process with a particular focus on mixed-use residential buildings.
