B. Design (Architecture)

Julia is a registered architect with more than 17 years of industry experience in the design and delivery of high end single and multi-residential projects. Graduating from the University of Sydney with honours in 2007, Julia has worked for both small and large architecture practices including JPW where she was the Project Lead for Interiors and worked on the award-winning multi-residential development Central Park. In 2014 Julia left JPW and set up her own practice delivering many high-end residential homes and interiors, including Apartment Aria which has recently been shortlisted for awards.

Julia is passionate about creating beautiful spaces to live in, and believes that the manipulation of space, light, material and form can elevate a person’s emotional wellbeing. When creating these types of spaces, she enjoys the switch in thinking from the large spatial strategies to the micro interior details where the occupant has a much more intimate experience with materials and junctions.

As an admirer of minimalist design, pure shapes and refined detailing, Julia is a firm believer that God is in the details. This sentiment is delivered to the next generation of architects and interior architects at the University of New South Wales, Where she writes, lectures and tutors across Design, Construction, Detailing and Professional Practice.
