Woodcroft Neighbourhood Centre Wins 2020 Fielders Made Design Award
We are proud to announce that Woodcroft Neighbourhood Centre has been awarded the 2020 Fielders Made Design Award in the Roofing and Walling category!
This morning Edward Jewitt, NSW Business Development Manager for Fiedlers, came to our studio to present us with our trophy and a novelty sized cheque, a great way to celebrate the achievement and our collaboration on the project.
Woodcroft Neighbourhood Centre is a civic building that aims to galvanise the culturally diverse Western Sydney community. This multi-purpose community centre reflects the client, Blacktown City Council, and their ambition for an inclusive and iconic centre where life-along learning, health and well-being, recreation and culture can be shared.
Our concept for the iconic roof profile was possible because we used Fielders Freeform, it’s flexibility and versatility meant we didn’t have to compromise on the form and were able to fully realise our design. The unique roof form acts like a hand that waves across the landscape, welcoming the public to the community centre.
We are thrilled to have our work recognised, and thank the jury and Fielders Steel for the award
